Mães da Sé is a NGO that helps families find their missing beloved ones. To make this happen more efficiently, a profile was created on Instagram to every registered missing person, containing a lot of info, such as photos, dates and locations where they where last seen, and how they would look like today. The profiles were then compiled on @ajudeaencontrar (tagtofind), and Instagram users were invited to tag them in their posts, spreading their photos nationwide. Mães da Sé turned a social network into one of the most powerful searching tools for missing people.
