Each day of prejudice is another day without freedom.

Even after serving their sentences, former prisoners remain trapped by prejudice in the labor market. Every rejection makes it harder to leave the past behind.

Freedom Calendar turned those stories into a year-long record: 12 people, 365 handcrafted marks and video testimonies accessible by phone. Six hundred calendars were sent to business leaders and HR directors in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The project was part of Segunda Chance, the world’s first employment agency created by former prisoners for former prisoners.
